This year’s Field Trip is coming up fast. The family-friendly 2-day music and arts festival takes place on June 4 and 5, 2016 at Toronto’s Historic Fort York & Garrison Common.
Children 12 years old and under are admitted for free (yay!) when accompanied by an adult ticket holder (obviously). They have an amazing program of children’s activities for various ages – something for everyone. The ‘Day Camp’ space brings parents and kids together for activities and intimate performances. Past performers include Sharon & Bram, Torquil Campbell (Stars), Kevin Drew & Andy Kim, Max Kerman (Arkells), Girls Rock Camp, Toronto Music Camp, and many more. This year will feature several new performers, participating music schools and community collaborations, all super close to a bouncy castle, hula hoops, ping pong tables, and more. (I wonder if they’d let adults in on the bouncy castle fun times…)
Unlike most festivals, The Field Trip allows ticket holders in and out privileges and you can bring your own sealed snacks and bottled water. So you can take the kids home to be tucked in with a babysitter and head on back to catch Robyn!
Tickets are $75 for a day pass or $125 for the entire weekend with VIP packages available for the fancy folks. Buy them at Toronto independent music retailers Rotate This (801 Queen St. W) and Soundscapes (572 College St.) or online at Ticketmaster.
